Resource Sharing

There are numerous resources available to students that are outside of Wade College and the library.  Several of them are listed below and students are encouraged to utilize them.  Speak to a librarian if you need additional information or assistance in using these resources.

Area Public & University Libraries:

Many public and university libraries are available throughout DFW and the surrounding area. The librarians are eager to assist with your educational endeavors, or your leisure reading. Call the location nearest you for information on obtaining a library card and use their freely available online catalogs. Interlibrary Loan:

Books and articles that are not available in the Wade College Library, or through the Wade College electronic resources may be obtained from other libraries, free of charge.  Interlibrary loan is a service in which many different types of libraries participate, enabling users to have access to a wider variety of materials than a single library.    If you need a book or an article that is unavailable at Wade College  ask one of the librarians for an ILL form.  Once you submit the form, the librarians will search for another library that has a copy.  Once the material has been located, it can be delivered to Wade College for you to pick up.

 TexShare Card Program:

TexShare - is a consortium of Texas libraries joining together to share print and electronic materials. Member libraries participating in the program can issue patrons a TexShare Card, which permits them to directly borrow books, music, movies and more from over 500 participating TexShare libraries.  Apply for a TexShare Card at your local participating library's circulation desk.

TexShare can also give you access to  databases from anywhere - even your home. These databases offer authoritative, full-text articles from subscription-only sources. Find e-Books, magazine articles, newspapers, and much more.
