College Sponsored Housing

Wade College offers an optional housing program for single students who do not live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area and elect not to make their own housing arrangements. Students who live in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area may elect to live in student housing, however, they must obtain approval from the Office of the President no later than 14 days prior to the start of each trimester.

Students who participate in the college's optional college-sponsored housing program presently live in contemporary apartments located in north Dallas approximately 10 miles from the college campus, in the vicinity of the Northpark shopping mall, Park Central Business District, and Medical City. The apartments are well-maintained and fully furnished. Limited access gates requiring remotes are available and a security fence runs along the perimeter of the complex. A Resident Director, employed by the college, lives on the premises and provides assistance to the Executive Director with housing issues and maintenance services.

Typically, four students share a two-bedroom, two-bath, furnished apartment that includes a wide complement of conveniences such as central heating and air, dishwasher, food disposal, electric range, microwave, washer and dryer, ceiling fans, built-in book shelves, walk-in closets, high-speed internet access availability, and refrigerator. The community has swimming pools, a media room, on-site retail services, training facilities, game room/billiards, and a fitness center.

There is adequate parking available for students who own vehicles.  The area is easily accessible by Interstate 635, US 75, and the Dallas North Tollway.  Mass transit service is also available through the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) system, and a bus stop is adjacent to the property and campus.

Students who are considering the college’s housing program are advised to understand their lease commitment and their financial obligations.  The student agrees to abide by the policies and regulations of the college and the housing program that are effective or shall become effective during the term of the commitment.
