Graphic Design

The mission of the Graphic Design concentration is to prepare students to successfully seek employment in an entry-level position in the field of graphic design.  Students in this program will learn fundamental graphic design skills and techniques then proceed to advanced concept-based courses stressing creativity, originality and appropriateness of designs to their intended audiences.  Students will solve design problems using a combination of concept-based theory along with knowledge of industry-standard software to complete projects.  Projects will be fine-tuned in order to achieve a professional, entry-level portfolio--the most important tool used to showcase their talents to prospective employers.
