DALLAS – August 8th, 2012 – Wade College is hosting the gala of the season to celebrate 50 years of education in the design and merchandising industries!

This invitation-only event will commemorate the achievements of Sue Wade, Founder and Executive Director of Wade College, and the college’s dynamic presence in the merchandising and design community.  200 of Dallas’ most influential creative professionals will enjoy live music, a documentary-style short film on the college’s long and vibrant history in the fashion and lifestyle industries, live fashion illustrations, and signature cocktails and bites.

Held at the Interfaith Peace Chapel, the last “modern masterpiece” of famed American architect Phillip Johnson, the building contains no parallel lines or 90 degree angles.  The Interfaith Peach Chapel is symbolic of the diversity and forward thinking nature that propels the creative industries.  50 Years & Golden will take place on Thursday, August 30th at 7pm.

Celebrating its 50th Anniversary this year, Wade College has earned a stellar reputation for Associate of Arts and Bachelor of Arts degree programs in both Merchandising and Design. Located inside the Infomart in Dallas’ Design District, a dream setting for any fashion student, Wade also maintains a close affiliation with Dallas Market Center.
